Over 68 photographers all over the world were invited to attend " World Photographers Focusing on Beijing " by People's Republic of Chaina from 16th May to 23rd May 2000. I was one of them. ---------------------------------------------------- The fascinating aspect of shooting Beijing was its distinct culture and rich architectural heritage. The extensive use of engraved Dragons and sculptured Lions in palaces and temples symbolize power. Wood lends elegant form and textural quality to the heritage buildings. Add to this, the use of earthern colours like red, blue, green and ornamental patterns in gold imparts richness to the structures. |
